One of the common security risks is not using any lock mechanism on your device, but constantly entering your PIN code multiple times a day to unlock your screen can be inconvenient. Delayed Lock provides a solution by temporarily turning off the secure lock screen after you unlock your device. This feature can be set for a defined period or while connected to specific WiFi networks or Bluetooth devices, similar to the "personal unlocking" feature found in recent Android versions. The lockscreen is automatically reactivated after the designated delay time, enhancing your data security.

• General limitations:

• Not compatible with Android 4.x if Exchange policy demands a PIN, if VPN is configured in Android settings, or if custom certificates are installed (may function on rooted devices)
• Pattern lock & FaceUnlock require root access on Android 4.x
• Device compatibility issues present – refer to "Device incompatibility" section
• Root access required on Android 4.x if full device encryption is active (may not work on Samsung devices)
• Uninstall via app's "Uninstall" option recommended
• Only supports PIN & password lockscreens on Android 6.0

• Device incompatibility:

• Some HTC devices: Pattern lock functionality may not work
• Samsung devices with Android 4.4: Some users reported PIN/password authentication failure after 3 days; consider updating system software if possible
• Potentially incompatible with certain Samsung devices running Android 5.0.x
• Sony devices: Disable Stamina mode or whitelist the app

• Permissions:

This app employs the Device Administrator permission for disabling/enabling lockscreen PIN/password and implementing the wipe feature after unsuccessful unlock attempts. Permissions include:

• ACCESS_SUPERUSER – for pattern lock support on Android 4.0+
  ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE & CHANGE_WIFI_STATE – unlocking on WiFi networks
  BLUETOOTH & BLUETOOTH_ADMIN – unlocking when connected to Bluetooth devices
  DISABLE_KEYGUARD – secondary method to disable lockscreen
  READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE & WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE – for custom widget icons
  RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – activates lock following device boot-up
  VIBRATE – for the "vibrate when locking" functionality
  WAKE_LOCK – enables "Wake to lock" feature
  WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS – toggles pattern lock & USB debugging on certain Android versions
  WRITE_SETTINGS – required for "screen off" widget in specific scenarios
